We provide MOT/SVA testing and custom mechanic services for minor tune-ups, oil changes and light conversions, tire changing, battery charging, welding, electronic engine analyses and brake drum and rotor cutting. We’ll even take care of your hazardous waste, oil/anti-freeze or battery.

DIY bays & equipment are available on a first-come, first-served basis • Last DIY sign-in is 60 minutes before closing • Clean-up is a half-hour before closing

We have six automotive lift stalls, two automotive flat stalls, one motorcycle lift stall, tools, reference materials, free WiFi, storage, and a car wash for when you’ve finished the job!

Inside the DIY shop, you’ll get a full-stocked, roll-around toolbox to use in each bay with specialty tools available from the counter. Our mechanics will be there to provide repair manuals and a helping hand. We also host classes (upon request) to help auto-beginners learn the basics of car repair & maintenance!

The motorcycle DIY bay provides specialized motorcycle tools in addition to general use tools. The dedicated motorcycle lift has the capability to support bikes of all sizes – all the way to a fully-loaded Harley – and features side plates to cater to 4-wheel ATVs. Experienced motorcycle mechanics and riders are available on-site to provide advice and assistance.

Per Lakenheath Instruction (LAKI) 31-102 (Traffic Supervision), the below procedures are required to be followed to place your POV on the Resale Lot:

The selling of all POV’s will be completed in designated areas/Resale Lot (Commissary parking lot). Selling of POV’s is not permitted in a public parking lot.

NOTE: Vehicles that are parked in the Resale Lot for sale and have not been registered IAW with procedures in LAKI 31-102 Para 3.5.9.1., may be towed or clamped at the owner’s expense.

To register a vehicle for sale, you must provide the following documentation to the Auto Hobby Complex:

• Current MOT (MOT cannot expire during the period of advertisement)
• Current V5 in your name
• Proof of current insurance
• Applicable space rental monetary fees: $20 per month

Please note: The completed agreement from the Auto Hobby Complex must remain in the front windscreen while the vehicle is on the resale lot.
