Development Advisors (DAs) are here to serve as the primary advisors to commanders and supervisors on enlisted force management, including force shaping matters, career opportunities, entitlements, benefits, etc. Also, DAs develop and manage local professional enhancement initiatives to ensure that the quality of program facilitation is kept at the highest levels.

Libertas Academy

Libertas Academy focuses on the deliberate development of every member assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing, including Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Civilian employees, local nationals, and spouses. Our mission is to partner with professional organizations and base agencies to bring valuable course material – coupled with our qualified facilitators’ experience & expertise – to you!

Help us to help you! If you complete 10 credits you will earn the ”Wingman” certificate, completing 20 credits recognizes you with the “Leader” coin, and completing 30 credits immortalizes you on the 48th FW Professional Development Center’s Hall of Fame wall as a “Warrior.”

First Term Enlisted Center

The First-Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) provides informative briefings and training for newly assigned first-term enlisted members. Military professionalism, Enlisted Force Structure, resiliency, and financial management are some topics addressed during FTEC. Upon completion of the course, members will be better able to transition out of the technical training environment and into the operational Air Force. Airmen are required to attend all scheduled course days and will NOT be able to attend personal appointments during this time.

Course Length: 5 days

Who: First-term enlisted members; attendance mandatory within 45 days of arrival to first duty station

    Foundations Courses

    Foundations Courses will replace our base-level professional enhancement seminars and become prerequisite courses for Enlisted Professional Military Education.

    The Junior Enlisted Foundations Course 300 bridges the gap between tech school and Airman Leadership School, The NCO Foundations Course 500 replaces the base level NCO Professional Enhancement Seminar and will be a prerequisite for the Noncommissioned Officer Academy, The SNCO Foundations Course 700 replaces the base level SNCO Professional Enhancement Seminar and will be a prerequisite for the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy.
